In 2024, thanks to the generous support of donors and partners, the Mayors Youth Scholarship Program was able to award 163 scholars, totaling $505,000, with an average scholarship of $4,000. Scholars attend 51 universities across the country, including 20 HBCU’s and Atlanta Technical College.
Mayor Andre Dickens’s commitment to his personal health and fitness journey has sparked community interest to “Move with Mayor Andre”. The UNION Fit Hub will open its doors to current members, The Mayor’s Office, The Atlanta Beltline, The Atlanta Police Department, and the General Public in support of Mayor Dicken’s agenda to “Move Atlanta Forward” and establishing “A City of Opportunity for All”, with a goal of adopting healthy habits and lifestyles, while simultaneously investing in young people through participant donation to The Mayors Youth Scholarship Program.
